A Bit About Me
I’m a Registered Psychologist with over twenty years of experience helping people and workplaces build resilience, prevent burnout, and strengthen wellbeing. My background spans frontline mental health work, family and community services, private practice, and organizational training — giving me a grounded understanding of how stress, trauma, and workplace demands shape human behaviour.
In my private practice, I provide individual counselling for adults navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. I’m also a provider with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB), offering therapy for individuals recovering from work-related injuries and psychological stress. This experience deepens my understanding of how occupational factors and recovery intersect — insights I bring into my broader work with organizations.

Alongside this, I work at McMan Family Intervention Services, where I facilitate wellness groups, trauma-informed care, and post-incident debriefing and stabilization sessions following critical or distressing events. Using EMDR’s Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP), these group sessions help staff process experiences, reduce emotional distress, and restore a sense of safety and balance after challenging incidents.
Through Ride the Wave Psychology, I create accessible tools and courses that bridge science and lived experience — supporting both individuals and organizations. My content includes workplace wellness programs, stress-regulation and burnout-prevention resources. I also present some of this material along with guided meditations on my YouTube channel Ride the Wave Psychology.
Additionally, I collaborate with Playcanics as an expert contributor, developing the Psychological First Aid Kit and AI in the Workplace courses — helping organizations respond to stress and build psychologically safe environments in practical, human-centered ways.
My goal — in every project, course, or counselling session — is to make mental health approachable, actionable, and sustainable. Because when people and workplaces learn to ride the wave of stress, they create space for clarity, connection, and growth.
